Ferret Olympics 2001

The Ferret Olympics is an annual fundraising event held by the Lane Area Ferret Lovers. All proceeds from the Olympics go to running the ferret shelter. It is great fun for the ferret, ferret owners, and ferret lovers of all ages.

The Olympics is run by LAFL members who volunteer their time and skills to promote, set up the events, referee, announce the events, coordinate the silent auction, sell wares and raffle tickets, and do all the work required to make the Olympics a tremendous success each year.

Not only were most of our contestants shy about knocking over the cups (which was the objective of the cup tip-over contest).

Seems that ferrets, like kids, have better manners in public than at home!

Some were just plain determined to leave!

What can beat cotton candy for that much-needed sugar rush?

On the other hand, a nice cold sno-cone on a hot summer day is quite a treat too.

Hey! Check out these ultra-cool ferret digs!
